Early Childhood Music, Kinder Beat

Kinder Beat classes are available for students aged 2 - 4 years. This program is lots of fun, contemporary, vibrant and lays wonderful foundations for a positive relationship with music. It stimulates all the senses and features many activities that children of the 21st century need for brain development and acceleration. Many students start here and then eagerly continue on with violin and piano with wonderful outcomes.

Violin, Viola & Piano Lessons

Creative one-on-one or group instrumental lessons are designed to help students learn the skills they need to advance further with confidence, play their favourite pieces, create their own music and become well rounded musicians. When teaching a piece of music I usually follow the SMART System of teaching. If students wish to take exams I have great experience preparing students for all levels of violin AMEB exams, with every student doing very well.

 Theory Lessons

Theory is included in all of my instrumental lessons, but is also offered as a stand alone. I teach theory of music, musicianship, music craft, composition & aural skills to students of all ages, beginner to advanced. I have great success taking students through all levels of AMEB and ABRSM exams, if that is desired.

Free Workshops

To promote a great musical community fun and creative workshops for the whole studio are organised each term and cover all aspects of music, with a particular focus on overcoming performance anxiety and building confidence. The musical, social, and inspirational benefits of these workshops are endless and are often the highlight of music learning.

Free Studio Concerts

Concerts are held for friends and family at the end of each term to celebrate the students progress. Practice and challenge awards are presented at these events.

Digital Music Corner

Students are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes early and use my music education applications and software on the provided tablet and computer. These programs are designed for fun self directed learning at every level.
